Strontian Playpark Renovation

Have your say on the new playpark design

Plans are moving forward to renovate Strontian Playpark, and we’re inviting parents and children to help shape its future.

We are currently consulting on three possible design options for the new playpark. Each option offers a different mix of play equipment, layouts and features, and your feedback will help decide which one we move forward with.

This consultation is aimed specifically at children who use the playpark and their parents or carers.

How to take part

You can take part in one of two ways:

In person

Visit the consultation display at The Sunart Centre Library to view the designs and complete a paper ballot. The display will be available until Sunday 1st February

Online

An online version of the survey can be found below:

Important:

Please choose one method only, either in person or online. To keep the results fair, do not vote twice.

About the design options

The three options (A, B and C) have been developed by different play equipment suppliers and are all within the same overall fundraising target.

When choosing, we encourage you and your children to think about:

  • The range of activities on offer (climbing, swinging, sliding, free play)
  • How well the equipment suits different ages and abilities
  • How the space might be used day to day

You can view full details of each option, including layout maps and equipment lists, in the downloadable consultation document available here.

What happens next?

  • The option with the most votes will be taken forward
  • With current funding, one or two pieces of equipment will be installed in spring 2026
  • Further fundraising will take place during 2026, with the aim of installing the remaining equipment later in the year

Minor adjustments may still be possible once a preferred option is chosen.
