Sunart Community Company has been selected as one of just FOUR finalists in the Certas Energy Community Bloom Fund 2026!
More than 300 projects from across the UK applied, so reaching the final four is a fantastic achievement for our community. Two projects will now receive £15,000, with the winners decided by public vote.
This is where we need your help.
If successful, the funding would allow us to create a permanent community canopy on Strontian village green, providing a covered outdoor space that could be used throughout the year.
The idea came partly from feedback via our community consultations about the need for more places for young people to meet locally, but the canopy could benefit the whole community.
It could provide shelter for village celebrations, live music, workshops, children’s activities, local groups, markets and other events. And, importantly for Strontian, a wee bit of rain wouldn’t automatically mean cancelling!
